8 MONTH INTERNSHIP
COMPANY: SENSE-IT!
Sense-it! Team focuses on the exploration of the sensory aspects of design and seeks to create pedagogical tools.
My roles included designing graphic layouts for a book and a booklet, developing graphics that represent concepts of sensory design, as well as helping with story boarding for videos explaining the material.
Work presented here was completed by me, or in collaboration with a team
WHAT IS SENSE-IT!
Every person constantly uses their senses, which allow to build the overall perception of the surroundings and interact with them. Designers can benefit from sensory design education which shows how senses affect perception of products. Sense- It! Team’s goal is to raise awareness of sensory aspects of design and create a kit – a pedagogical tool, which will allow students to practice applying the knowledge about sensory design learned in class.
SENSE-IT! COMPONENTS
the BOOK: sense-IT! in essence
My role in creation of Sense-it! in essence book was making graphics according to the material written for each chapter
My team and I would start our work by running a brainstorming session using miro (online whiteboard space) in order to come up with the best ways to demonstrate concepts of sensory design
Then, we create graphics and wait for approval or suggestions on improvements

facilitator's booklet: sense-it! in action
My role in creation of Sense-It! in action booklet was to do the research of available material in order to write background information for some of the activities presented in the booklet, make graphics and layout to present information clearly
My team and I also work collaboratively to come up with learning objectives for the activities, as well as an overall guide to show consistency of layouts and information through out the booklet
I was not involved in creation of activity cards, as those assets were already finished when I joined the project

PRODUCT CARDS
My role in creation of product cards consisted of collaboratively checking the number of existing cards and separating them into categories "basic", "moderate", and "complex" based on the products form and affordances

sense-it! tiles
When I joined this project, Sense-It! Tiles were called puzzle pieces and looked differently than they do today. I participated in brainstorming of the new shape of Sense-It! Tiles until I had to focus on different aspects of the project
My team asked university's woodworking lab to laser cut Sense- It! Tiles to conduct user testing and make a decision of the overall aesthetic
